sambal belacan

Now, half an hour to go before going to birthday dinner of my Laos college mate Bounta, at a nearby Thai restaurant. Just by thinking of spicy yummy food tom yam and bla bla that I will be having later is enough to make my mouth waters…Sambal belacan i miss u …ish ..

Last few months i said the same thing to zheng wei also…and guess what came to my door on christmas year 2008..?

of course, you cant see the small bottle of sambal belacan here…the container pecah meletup dan tertumpahlah sambal ( highly pressurized in airplane cabin kot ) …the envelope still smells like sambal belacan today …:)

the cubic thing i sent is called belacan .. but when u put everything i.e. chili red onion bla bla into blender .. the half solid half liquid edible thing out is called sambal belacan .. hahahaha
don worry about that .. this year i will wrap myself and szeyin and send it all the way to Kisarazu!
